Oscar-winning documentary, The Cove, is among the winners at the 24th annual Genesis Awards this Saturday in Beverly Hills.

The Cove, which documented the annual dolphin slaughter in Japan, took top honors in the category of Outstanding Documentary Film at the Genesis Awards, beating The End of the Line and Food, Inc.

Along with an Oscar, The Cove has enjoyed success across the globe winning awards from all corners of the world, winning over 25 well-respected film awards. Some notable awards include “Best Documentary” from the Environmental Media Awards, Three Cinema Eye Honors for “Outstanding Achievement”, the “Golden Tomato Award” from the critic website rottentomatoes.com. The 24th annual Genesis Awards airs on Animal Planet on April 24-25.
