Whirlpool introduced its new line of green appliances this week. The new eco-friendly kitchen appliances include their Resource Saver refrigerator, dishwasher and range.

The star of the line-up has to be the eco-friendly refrigerator which uses the same amount of power as a 60-watt light bulb. The green fridge also comes equipped with Whirlpool’s 6th Sense technology, which automatically brings food to the desired temperature in half the time of a normal fridge. It also has a “fast cool” button that aggressively chills food that is put into the fridge at a warm temperature. Perfect for those still warm leftovers.

This eco-friendly appliance will hit stores in March and will retail for $2,099.

The Resource Saver dishwasher boasts the use of significantly less water usage in cycles (1/3 of the amount from dishwashers built seven years ago). The Resource Saver range comes equipped with a sleep mode like a computer that lets it save energy when not in use. The dishwasher and range are priced at $799 and $699.
